Seth Curry out for at least 2 weeks due to sciatic nerve issue

The The Golden State Warriors were playing some improved basketball over the last week, recently getting back over the .500 mark with home victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day. The Warriors are starting to bounce back after Stephen Curry recently missed some time with a leg injury, but they recently got hard update the health of the brother, the guardian Seth Curry.

“The Warriors say Seth Curry had an MRI that revealed a sciatic nerve injury. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks,” ClutchPoints’ NBA insider Brett Siegel reported on X, formerly Twitter.

In a bizarre series of events, Seth Curry was signed by the Warriors before the season, then released and then re-signed by the team in November, pairing him with his brother Stephen for the first time in their careers.

While the younger Curry didn’t get a chance to do much in Steve Kerr’s rotation this year, he remains a reliable perimeter shooter who adds depth and veteran experience to a Warriors team that hopes to turn things around in 2025-26.

Right now, the Warriors sit at 16-15, not terrible, but certainly not where they wanted to be after pushing all their chips into the middle of the standings with last year’s Jimmy Butler trade, and given that they’ve enjoyed a relatively clean slate of health this year.

Either way, the Warriors will next take the court on Sunday afternoon on the road against the Toronto Raptors.
