Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler are for the Heat tilt

Update: Jimmy Butler is officially out for the Golden State Warriors next Draymond Green and Stephen Curryaccording to ESPN.

The Golden State Warriors will face the Miami Heatand everyone expected it Jimmy Butler returned to play his former team. Butler is listed as questionable with a strained back, but it appears he is less likely to playaccording to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Warriors faced the Orlando Magic on the first night of back-to-back, and they may be trying to be cautious with some of their veteran players, such as Butler. Stephen Curry is already listed as out, while Butler and Draymond Green are questionable. At this point, it wouldn’t be a surprise if none of their Big 3 played.

It would be a game to watch, as last season was full of drama when Butler was on fire. He was eventually traded to the Warriors, where he had a lot of success in the latter part of the season, helping them advance to the second round of the playoffs, where they were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After their loss to the Magic, Butler had a cryptic response when asked if he would go against his former team.

“Who knows? We’ll see how we feel when we wake up,” Butler said.

On the Heat side, they don’t seem worried about the matchup either, including head coach Erik Spoelstra, who cited the fact that they already played Butler after he was traded last season.

“We already did the game, so how many games do we have to play before it’s a big story?” Spoelstra said.

Bam Adebayo is also watching the match like just another game.

“You kind of block it out,” Adebayo said. “You move forward in life. We have a great team that plays great basketball, and you want to continue that, not try to chase a title.”

For now, it looks like they may have nothing to worry about story-wise if Butler won’t play.
