The big man is ruled out for the next 3 games due to an ankle injury

The The Philadelphia 76ers suffered a major injury to a player questions lately, with Kelly Oubre Jr. she just ruled outside of the team’s game against the Detroit Pistons last Friday. Joel Embiid continues to rehabilitate from a knee injury, and the latest injury news comes in the form of key big man Adem Bona who will miss the 76ers’ game against the Clippers on Monday.

Not only will Bona be out of the Clippers game, but will also miss two games after that against the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks, sidelining him for at least three games, per Derek Bodner of PHLI Sports. Bona is dealing with a sprained ankle. The 76ers’ full injury report for the Clippers game hasn’t been released yet, so it’s uncertain which other players could also be out.

The No. 41 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Bona has emerged as a key factor in the 76ers’ frontcourt and even started a handful of games this year, his second in the league.

Bona has appeared in 12 games this season, including three starts, with just over 14 minutes per game. He averaged 2.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks while shooting 45 percent from the field and 50 percent from the free throw line.

Last season as a rookie, Bona appeared in 58 games, including 11 starts, logging just over 15 minutes per game. He averaged 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks, shooting 70.3 percent from the field and 67 percent from the free throw line.

At the start of the 2025-26 season, the 76ers were one of the surprise teams in the Eastern Conference. Since then, they’ve come back down to earth a bit, going 5-5 in their last 10 games and holding a 7-5 overall record. The team is still awaiting the season debut of Paul George, who is recovering from a knee injury.
