The Celtics honored Isaiah Thomas in their own way
When he played in Boston, Isaiah Thomas nicknamed “The King in the Fourth” because his many hot shots at the end of the match. The former leader of the Celtics was present at TD Garden during the duel against the Heat.
As if to honor him and while the match was close to three quarters, Joe Mazzula’s players caught fire in the fourth quarter. They started this final act going a perfect 6/6 on 3-pointers and managed ten in twelve minutes, a franchise record in the fourth quarter.
“Besides the fact that I couldn’t hear anything during the timeout, it was a nice gesture to get Isaiah Thomas back,” he loves the Celtics coach. “He’s brought a lot to this city and this team. I’m just at the end of my time here, but who he is as a player and as a person says a lot about him.”
Under the watch of Isaiah Thomas, Boston sank Miami in the final act, as the former All-Star did one night in December 2016, where he scored 52 points against the Floridians, including 29 in the final quarter.
Derrick White shone during this streak of six 3-pointers in a row as he made two to finish his night with 33 units. Thanks to this heatstroke, the Celtics were able to outscore the Heat and win 129-116.
An audience that always responds
