The L2M report confirms that the call directly led to the Bulls’ victory

On Tuesday evening, The Atlanta Hawks lost their fourth straight game with a brutal home loss against the Chicago Bulls. This was the second straight game the Hawks hosted the Bulls at State Farm Arena, the first being a wild shootout in which the teams combined for over 300 points.

This time, things were much tamer offensively, with the Hawks controlling things most of the way, but the Bulls caught fire late in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback. Late in the game, controversy arose when Hawks forward Zachary Rizacher was whistled for an “offside” foul with less than two seconds remaining on Kobe White, giving the Bulls a free throw that eventually gave them a one-point lead.

Rizacher didn’t seem to initiate much contact in the game, and now the NBA has admitted that the refs are made a mistake in calling a foul.

“NBA Report: The foul on Zachary Rizacher at the end of last night’s Hawks-Bulls game was the wrong call,” reported Hawks insider Mike Conti of 92.9 The Game on X, formerly Twitter.

“White (CHI) falls to the floor on his own, not as a result of any contact from Rizaher (ATL),” the representative stated in the last two minutes.

The league’s takeover won’t do much to ease the simmering tension surrounding the Hawks, who are now a game below .500 and have yet to win a game since Trae Young returned to the lineup after missing his MCL.

It should also be noted that the wheels had already started to fall off for Atlanta long before the Rizacher foul went against them on Tuesday.

Either way, the Hawks will look to end their ugly losing streak when they next take the floor on Friday at home against the Miami Heat.
