The new management of the Lakers separates from the sons of Jerry Bass!

It’s not just in Dallas things happen behind the scenes since ESPN reveals that the new Lakers management has decided to part ways with Joey and Jesse Bass, who are none other than the sons of former owner Jerry Bass, who passed away in 2013.
The two brothers confirmed their departure to ESPN. “We are extremely honored to have been a part of this franchise for the past 20 seasons”they write press release. “Thank you to Laker Nation for supporting our family every step of the way. We wish things had gone differently the way our adventure with the team ended. In times like these, we wish we could ask our father what he would have thought.”
Only Jeanie Buss saves her head
Jesse Bass was the team’s director of scouting and had a nose for finding players like Austin Reaves or Jordan Clarkson, while Joey Bass was the president of the G-League team, the South Bay Lakers. ESPN specifies that the two men will retain a minority stake in the franchise.
The Lakers on sale from the Buss family to Los Angeles Dodgers owner Mark Walton for $10 billion, closed on October 30, and their sister Jeanie will remain in office at least until 2030. But his power did not allow him to keep his two brothers in office.
