Tyronn Lue shares feelings on Chris Paul dating amid feud rumors

Amidst the struggles of the LA Clippers this season, the organization has created a conundrum decision to part ways with Chris Paula decision that was announced in the early hours of Wednesday morning while the team is on the road. As the day progressed, more and more information became available such as rumors that Paul and Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue haven’t spoken to each other in weeks.
Tyronn Lue addressed the media during his pregame availability prior to the Clippers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks, and he is he seemed to suggest that he harbored no ill feelings toward Chris Paul, according to Sports Illustrated’s Joey Lin.
“I just don’t think it was good for what he was asking for. It is what it is. Do I want to see CP go out like this? No. I have a lot of respect for him. He’s been a friend of mine over the years,” Lue said. “You never want to see a great outing like this. But I’m pretty sure he’ll find something because he’s a great player. . . . I didn’t want it to end like this.”
Lue brought up an interesting point regarding Paul’s potential future as the Clippers have yet to announce how they plan to cut ties with him. He didn’t give up. This will reportedly be Paul’s last season in the NBA, although Paul himself has not explicitly said so.
If Paul intends to finish this season as a player, the Clippers could cut him and eat his guaranteed salary, allowing him to sign with another team, or they could try to package him as part of a trade.
Paul has been out of the Clippers rotation recently and has been putting up career low numbers. He averaged 2.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 32.1 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from the 3-point line and 50 percent from the free throw line. Other than his 3-point percentage, those are all career lows.
