Victor Wembanyama, Draymond Green exchange words after contested bucket

Things got a little spicy during the NBA Cup game in between San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors. Draymond Green has always been one of the most famous trash talkers in the game. Up against Victor Vembanyamathose two are the whole game.
The tension finally turned in the fourth quarter. Green was glued to Vembanyama on the baseline as the Spurs prepared to play off the court. Vembanjama caught a lob from Stephon Castle and dunked over Green. The two players then got into a battle of words because they had to be separated by their teammates.
Green and the Warriors would have the last laugh against the Spurs. Behind Stephen Curry’s heroics, Golden State managed to beat Wembanyama and the Spurs. Curry dropped 49 points against San Antonio, while Vembanyama finished the game with 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Green had only six points, but he also had eight rebounds, eight assists and three blocks.
From meat reacted to the argument after the game. The Spurs star appeared to be relishing his battle with the veteran striker.
“I wasn’t trying to prove anything to anybody,” Vembanyama said. “It’s just, at some point, just like anybody, at least for me, somebody tells you a certain way, you have to respond a certain way. That’s just the way it is.”
Green also loved the fact that Vembanyama was on fire.
“It’s nice to see him show emotion. I love it when guys show emotion,” Green said. “I just wish that if I could shout in someone’s face and then a teammate could come and grab me and nothing happens – because if I shout in someone’s face and grab someone, I get an indefinite suspension.”
