Warriors’ Stephen Curry reveals Lionel Messi’s inspiration
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is easily the best scorer ever. In other words, he is a CAPRICORN. So does Steph take motivation from the greats in other sports eg Lionel Messi?
Guard he wondered just that on Monday night and had an interesting answer to the question.

“Greatness inspires greatness in a lot of ways, not that there’s anything specific you can apply between football and basketball, just the longevity, the creativity, the impact on the sport around the world,” Curry said. “You certainly appreciate greatness and that inspires you to go on and do your own thing.” Obviously, I have the utmost respect for how he conducts himself on and off the field.”

While some soccer fans would argue that Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest player to ever step on the field, the general consensus is that Messi holds that title. After all, he has achieved everything in the beautiful game, from winning the Champions League title to leading his country, Argentina, to triumph at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
now, Messi shines in MLS with Inter Miami and helped the club attract some of his former Barcelona team-mates in Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Jorda Alba. The way Messi behaves is undoubtedly a motivation for any athlete, especially one like Stephen Curry.
The sharpshooter may be having a bit of a down year for the Dubs, but his ability to make it rain from downtown hasn’t gone away. Curry is shooting 41.1% from deep, averaging 4.4 on 10.6 attempts per night. Steph is of course the all-time three-point leader and he single-handedly changed the evolution of the sport with his shooting.
Golden State is 19-20 and lost to the Toronto Raptors on Monday. After a hot start, they have struggled for the past few months. The Dubs return to action on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
