Why DeMarcus Cousins believes New York is still a long shot
On Tuesday evening, New York Knicks disappointingly lost to a supposedly thin Indiana Pacers team, 137-134, in a contest that should never have been so close. New York looked like it was going to pull a rabbit out of the hat again and again, as evidenced by that Karl-Anthony Towns free throws that are related to the game to send the game into overtime, but eventually ran out of steam.
What makes this loss even more frustrating for the Knicks is that they got a solid game from Jalen Brunson, who had 40 points, five rebounds and eight assists in 42 minutes of action. Sure, Brunson missed a few key shots in regulation and overtime, so it’s not like he’s flawless in this loss, but even then, a good night from the team’s best player should, more often than not, result in a win.
This just proves it even more DeMarcus Cousins‘ about yes Nixie are a piece away from going over the hump.
“I think they’ve still got things to figure out. On paper, they’ve got talent. They’ve been together long enough. They’ve got experience together. It’s just about staying consistent. (But) I think they’re a little further along. They’ve got to add another scoring option. I think it’s a lot of pressure on (Jalen) Brunson every night to be on television,” Ruel Ruel said on television.

Karl-Anthony Towns should be the Knicks’ secondary
As much as Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby want to be the second scoring option for the Knicks, that responsibility should fall on Towns’ shoulders. however, The towns didn’t look very comfortable under head coach Mike Brown this season, and he’s been called for some very silly mistakes of late, which has diminished his impact for the Knicks.
Towns needs to get back to his 2024-25 level for the Knicks to overcome the problem in the East.
