Why Texas A&M football player Marcell Reed is still proud despite the CFP disaster against Miami

As it is The Texas A&M football team lost to the Miami Hurricanes in the first round College Football Playoff (CFP), 10-3, it was undoubtedly an extremely disappointing result on their home turf. With The Texas A&M football offense led by quarterback Marcell Reed, he would reflect on the season he and the rest of the team had.

Although the Aggies were horribly eliminated in the CFP game against the Hurricanes, it was the program’s first time in the national title hunt. While no team likes to lose, this is the furthest any Texas A&M team has gone, giving Reed something to “a sense of pride”.

“Yeah, there’s definitely a sense of pride,” Reid said, according to 247 Sports. This defeat hurts not only because it knocked us out, but it was also a defeat at home, and we wanted to remain undefeated at home. I think we thought this season obviously could have been a lot better than the one it ended with. But we are proud of what we have achieved. As I said before, we’re growing, and we’ve grown since last year, and we’re going to grow again this year.”

Last season for Reed, the sophomore quarterback threw for 3,169 yards with 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in his best season yet. Either way, Reed is looking to get the Aggies back to the CFP in the near future, with the program looking to build on the 11-2 record they had, and is also 7-1 in conference play.
