4th in a row for the Mavericks against the Warriors

Without the hype, and especially without the Irving-Davis tandem, the Mavericks recorded their 4th straight win, their best streak of the season. Against the Warriors Jimmy Butler OrphansJason Kidd’s players won 123-115 and returned to the gates of the top 10 of the Western Conference.
The game got off to a very sloppy start to the point that the Warriors waited more than three minutes before scoring their first points, while the Mavericks only led 6-0. Clearly, both teams struggled to find an offensive rhythm, increasing missed shots and turnovers. We have to wait for the trades to finally see some quality basketball with De’Anthony Melton leading the way for the Warriors. The guard combines Brandin Podziemski and Al Horford perfectly, and Golden State leads after 12 minutes (27-24).
In the second quarter, the Warriors still lacked skill, but kept in touch thanks to free throws. Dallas, despite numerous turnovers, began to attack better, dominating rebounds and taking advantage of counterattacks. The main fact of this 2nd quarter is the exit due to the injury of Jonathan Kuminga, a blow to the ankle and the knee while flying in the circle… Before leaving a few seconds later, he made his two throws and led by six points (45-39). This is the turning point of the half, as the Mavericks respond with a 12-0 run and take control with a very active Cooper Flagg on defense. Max Christie is the one who pulls out everything in the attack to allow Dallas to reach the break with a five-point advantage (55-50).
Kuminga injured, Green ruled out…
Although we learned that Kuminga will have an MRI on his knee, Golden State is coming back very strong. 8-0 started by Moses Moody allows them to regain the advantage (58-55). Dallas seems to have better control of the game with more variety on offense, but what do you do when Stephen Curry catches fire? The All-Star Pack scored 13 points in the quarter, bringing the momentum back to his team. At the end of the third quarter, the Warriors turned things around and took an 89-84 lead.
In a much more pleasant encounter than at the start of the match, the Mavericks then tightened their game, slowed down the tempo and applied constant pressure. The turning point comes when Draymond Green is penalized for another flagrant foul. In the process, Dallas went on an 11-0 run to break (113-101), and Green would eventually be ejected with four minutes left. Exhausted and unable to find offensive or defensive solutions, the Warriors will let the match slip away… In contrast, the Mavericks managed to win without panic in the final minutes with PJ Washington for a three-pointer that hurt and Marshall for free throws that soothed.
WHAT TO REMEMBER
10,000. The game’s top scorer with 38 points, Stephen Curry, made history by becoming the first NBA player to attempt more than 10,000 three-point shots in his career. After this meeting, Curry is at 4,222 baskets in 10,007 attempts, or 42.1%.
Kuminga shines then comes out. As his name floats around the Dallas sideline, Jonathan Cumminga apparently injured his ankle and knee on a shaft drive. What’s worrying is that he got injured impulsively, and that’s not a good sign… Before that, he was perfect with 10 points in 9 minutes on 100% shooting.
You great Marshal. With 30 points and 9 assists, Najib Marshall tied his season highs, and the Warriors never found a way to slow him down. He is the one who hurts in the 4th quarter on the decisive 11-0 break.
