Anthony Davis receives another injury notice

Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis is dealing with a left calf strain. He was a great man listed as questionable ahead of recent games despite eventually being shut down before tip-off. However, ahead of Sunday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, AD did listed as suspiciousaccording to NBA injury report.
Davis, 32, has been limited to five games so far in the 2025-26 NBA season. He is averaging 20.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks per outing. The Mavericks certainly miss his presence on the floor. Overall, Dallas holds a poor 3-10 record.
If AD doesn’t return from injury soon, one has to wonder if the Mavericks will be able to bounce back this season. If not, it could turn into a lost campaign. Davis trade rumors are starting to swirl as well, so he is someone who could be moved ahead of the February deadline.
Mavericks vs. Trail Blazers injury report
The Mavs have a total of six players listed on the weekly injury report.
- Anthony Davis (left calf): Doubtful
- Cooper Flagg (sprained right thumb): Available
- PJ Washington (left shoulder strain): Probably
- Kyrie Irving (left knee surgery): Waived
- Dante Exum (treatment of right knee injury): Out
- Ryan Nembhard (sprained left knee): Out
Washington did not play in Friday’s 133-127 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, but it appears he could return Sunday given his probable status. Flagg remains on the injury report but is already listed as available. Meanwhile, Nembhardt is a new addition to the injury report with a sprained left knee, while Irving and Exum remain sidelined.
As for Davis, there is little chance of him being available given his questionable injury status.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
