Austin Reeves beats the Wolves at the buzzer!
For the second time in less than a week the two formations intersectand the Wolves find the 3-point target from the opening moments and everyone is having fun. Sometimes it’s Mike Conley, another Donte DiVincenzo, or even Julius Randle. On the other hand, pressure was exerted on Austin Reaves it bothers him a lot (34-32). The second quarter is much messier than the first with Reaves still patient, and the team from Los Angeles finishes with a 7-0 run and takes control (58-62).
Minnesota’s lack of advantage was confirmed after the break, while California’s rear continued to perfectly control the group, and Jake LaRavia appeared with 17 points in the third quarter alone. When the Lakers went on a 12-0 run, the Wolves responded with an 8-0 run to not trail before the final act (86-97).
Minnesota close to a stop
Chris Finch’s troops, long amorphous, gave themselves a late-match boost to hope for victory. After 7-0, Austin Reeves answers with 3 points, but the wave is strong. Jaden McDaniels scores 5 straight points and the Wolves are within one point. Julius Randle takes the decisive possession and scores. Minnesota had just gone 14-2.
The Lakers then have six seconds to win. The ball lands in the hands of Reaves, who penetrates and shoots at the free throw line. It goes in, at the buzzer and the Californians win 116-115.
AUSTIN REAVES… FOR THE WIN.

WHAT TO REMEMBER
– Austin Reeves’ big match. No 40- or 50-point peak this time, but a complete come-from-behind performance. Clumsy as he was a target on defense, he finished with 28 points on 9/24 shooting including 3/11 on 3-pointers. But his basket at the buzzer and his 16 assists (only three turnovers) greatly enhance his outing and confirm his great form in the absence of LeBron James and Luka Doncic.
– Third quarter by Jake LaRavia. With 27 points, the former Memphis was the perfect lieutenant of Reaves. Above all, he was incredibly skilled: 10/11 on the shot and 5/6 on threes. His 17 points in the third quarter allowed the Lakers to unravel.
– The beginning of Wolves. Thanks to a basket by Julia Randle, Minnesota came very close to taking this game. Would the win be deserved? Because despite expressed desire for defenseRudy Gobert and his mates were still erratic and not very sharp, except at the end, with this last burst. For too long in this meeting, we saw the Wolves from last season, a little worried in defense and they lacked aggressiveness in the game.
